PSAA Hockey 2023-2024
Dear PSAA Hockey families,
We are excited to share with you some of the changes coming your way for the 2023-2024 season!
- AAA/AA group: in order to maximize our various training environments we have decided to limit one group to U15 AA and AAA level students. We will maintain discretion to move students into this group as we see fit based on ability and fit.
- New Provider: new to Edmonton and area, Perfect Skating is a skill development company that believes “.Whether it's their Movement Efficiency, Movement Speed, Movement Agility or Movement Timing, the best on-ice movers re-program faulty Movement Patterns to increase performance. The hockey world has forgot to move, our patented Movement Methodology restores asymmetrical patterns and allows athletes to FLOW.”
- Existing Instructors: Power Edge Pro/Quantum Speed/Dynamic Hockey/ATC Goaltending/MCN Skill Development and Breakthrough Sports Performance.
- Goalie Training Integration: we have been discussing how to improve our goalie training implementation. Come to our open house on Monday, June 19th, to hear what we’ve been thinking.
- Hockey Specific Performance Assessments: In addition to our general athletic testing, we will be integrating Hockey specific performance assessments that will measure: skating speed, puck handling, shot accuracy, and shot power.
- Game Day Activation and Mobility: if your student has a game that falls on the same day as a dryland session, they will be led through an activation and mobility program instead of their typical workout.
